OTI renews affiliation with Chofetz Chaim

In April 2014 due to an expanded enrollment of boys for the coming year, the Board of OTI renewed the school’s affiliation to Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim, joining its Torah network of schools, shuls, and kiruv organizations in over 100 communities in North America and Israel. Our ties to Chofetz Chaim go back to the winter of 1981 when Rabbi Reuven Bulka brought a Jewish educational program from Rabbinical Seminary of America – Yeshivas Chofetz Chaim to Machzikei Hadas synagogue. The following summer, Rabbi Yisroel Morgenstern and Rabbi Yaakov Deitsch ob”m were sent to Ottawa by Chofetz Chaim to open a Yeshiva High School for boys called Ottawa Torah Institute (OTI). For over 30 years OTI has successfully provided a top quality yeshiva high school education to students in Ottawa, and we are proud to reconnect with the other Chofetz Chaim Yeshivas around the world.
