Ottawa U Science Department Tour

Grade 12 Ottawa U Science Department Tour The Grade 12 students visited the Science Department at the University of Ottawa this week, and were given a tour through the building and classrooms. Despite the unseasonably cold and snowy weather, the students were excited and interested to observe a real university-level chemistry experiment be done in the revamped chemistry department. The boys were also granted admission to the Vice-Dean of Undergraduate Studies, Alain St-Amant, who recalled fond memories of granting deferrals for Saturday exams to OTI students in the past.

Chumash Test on Yosef and his Brothers

Chumash Test The Grade 10 and 12 Chumash class with Rabbi Mandel had a test this week on the qualities of Yosef and his brothers relative to leadership. The unit focused on Parshas Vayeshev spanned the time period between Yosef’s dreams and his sale to Egypt. The students analyzed whether or not the brothers had sinned, who actually bought Yosef, and why the brothers did not consult with Ya’akov, among other questions.
